Sandra Lyons & Roy Budd Testimonial

Sandra Lyons & Roy Budd Testimonial

April 30, 2023

Mrs. Sandra Lyons
Mr. Roy Budd

April 27, 2023

To Whom It May Concern,

My husband, Roy Budd and I, are writing this letter on behalf of Sonja Jensen, widow of Kenneth Jensen, a retired veteran.

I, Sandra Lyons am the sister of Sonja Jensen.  She and I grew up together.  Sonja was my older sister and I looked up to her for advice and guidance.

As adults she and I became even closer.  She became my best friend and confidante, always there for me.

I met Ken when I was 16, when he and Sonja started dating and then married.  He was my brother-in-law, but I considered him my brother.

Ken as well as Sonja have always demonstrated their caring and giving nature, whether it was inviting an elderly Aunt and Uncle to live with them as they could no longer take care of themselves; or inviting the teenage son of a friend who was killed in a murder suicide, to live with them so he could graduate with his class in high school.

They did this for no payment or reward, but because someone needed help.

Their home became the hub for the neighborhood kids, some to have their bikes fixed or tires inflated.  Some to invite themselves for dinner because Mrs. Jensen was a really good cook.

Sonja nor Ken ever turned anyone away when they needed a helping hand or a ride to the Dr. or just needed to talk.

Ken’s time on this earth was cut short.  There were repairs needed to the house that he did not have time to take care of.  Sonja was left trying to handle these things.

She needs a new roof very badly and there are just not the funds to complete that task.  Sonja and Ken were always ready to help others, their entire lives.

Ken served his country and was so proud of his service.  Sonja supported Ken, as his wife, in his service to his country.    They are both heroes in my eyes.

Sonja is a very proud person and finds it very difficult to ask for help.  If she were not so disabled, she would go out and get a job at 76 years old.  However, this is not possible.

Please accept this letter as validation of her character and her worthiness to receive your help.

I am Roy Budd, husband of Sandra Lyons.  I met Ken In the 80’s, when I was in the Army Reserves with him.  I served under him.  He always demonstrated fairness and respect for all of his men.

I was introduced to Sonja during this time.  She was always very gracious.  Ken introduced me to my wife and I therefore came to know Sonja quite well.

Sonja has always shown her support and caring for her family and friends.  She and Ken were a loving couple who truly felt it was better to give than to receive, and that is the way they lived their lives.

Sonja truly needs help as the widow of Ken and is a person of great character.

Please accept this letter vouching for Sonja’s character and the reasons she is deserving of your help.

Sincerely,
Sandra Lyons
Roy Budd

Ken Jensen

People say Ken has a way of "getting" them that few others seem to possess.

They frequently share secrets with him that they haven't told another soul.

One client has gone as far as saying,
"He understands the un-understandable."
