(This is material I wrote much later that backs some of the earlier steps.)
There are certain factors that are totally unavoidable and they totally run your life. The key is to identify them, then learn to work with them rather than against them.
And we’re going to rebuild your life in such a way as to let you use them liberally, instead of stifle them, in order to satisfy agendas that are not your own.
I have many resources to reference here. But I think you’ll find Kolbe offers the easiest solution to see why you do anything the ways you do.
They were a complete game changer for me!
There are the other personality/strengths tests above that I’ve used. But one other very simple tool is Human Design.
There are many companies offering Human Design readings but I went with www.evolutionaryhumandesign.com/. I got my report first, which was very inexpensive.
Later, I purchased a reading with Chetan. THAT was mind blowing and eye opening in the extreme! And Chetan is just one of the best people you could ever meet.
Visit their site to learn more and see if it speaks to you. But I can unreservedly say that I can’t imagine what might have not happened for me had I not found these people. I can’t overstate how eye opening their information has been.
Becoming aware. Another way of saying this is “waking up”. There is knowing a thing academically and then there’s knowing it in your heart. They seem the same but they’re not.
You “know” you should quit smoking (if that’s your thing). But one day it clicks and you refuse to ever pick up another cigarette ever again.
That is the day you truly “know”. You became aware. This habit is not for me and I no longer have it in me to ignore this awareness.
You’ll actually feel physically ill at the thought of taking anther puff. Or you’ll just feel very apprehensive about it, in a way that never happened before. It will just become impossible to continue.
See the difference? Centerpointe and its program Holosync will bring you to this awareness. You will see why you do anything as you do and gradually start to make the necessary changes that will bring about the life you’ve always wanted.
Verifying your mental health status. This is tricky and you might not be able to rely on your own opinion for this answer.
So be honest: do the people around you think you’ve got your head under control? It’s no crime of you don’t. Please don’t think that that is what I’m saying.
But you need a third party of some sort to verify what simply might not be able to see. When it comes to bipolar, in particular, the illness “talks” to us. And it can lie. Especially when we’re manic.
If those closest to you feel like you’ve got things under control, that’s a safe bet that you do.
If not, then please review my wellness program more closely and see if there’s something in there that appeals.
Your BHAP/BHAG: fun ways to describe the extreme ends of the personal evolution scale we’ll be working on with you. Helps to lay out where you want to go and what’s in the way.
As we work together, you may even find that these things aren’t what you originally thought they were. But we need a starting point for the sake of focus.
Click through the rest of the links in the list above to see if anything rings your bell. You do NOT have to do all the tests. I just wanted to make you aware of them.
The rest is a bit of deep drilling down into specific areas that helped me understand my head and heart better and you might find some answers in these places too. But only the four things above are anything like what I’d call “mandatory”.
