Your “Other” Story
I Can’t Stand Watching Good People Being Unable To Shine
Seriously. It bothers me. It pisses me off.
It keeps me awake at night searching for answers and tools for people who have no idea that I am even doing so on their behalf.
The Potential Is There But It Can’t Find Its Legs
I meet so many good people who make the day better for everyone else but are not happy with how their day is spent.
I’ve also met many people who have an ongoing project but can’t seem to scale it up.
Or they have a great idea but don’t know how to kick it off, or if they should even try.
Some are sitting on gold and don’t even know it.
Others Want To Become More But Chase The Carrot, Not Seeing The Stick
These folks are grabbing at every shiny piece of bait in front of their eyes, wasting time and energy searching for short cuts and miracle fixes.
Then there are those of us who have built a sizable something or other. But it’s not performing well. Yet we stick to our guns, far past the point that we really should have quit and tried something new.
And, Possibly Worst Of All, There Are Those Who’ve Succeeded But Nobody Knows it
They truly enjoy what they do but can’t find a way to gain respect from the world for doing it.
Or they can’t develop an audience large enough to help them develop it further.
This Is Tragic
Because someone definitely needs to know what these people have successfully figured out. The successful person’s failure to market means the sufferer will continue to live in pain.
And None Of This Has To Be This Way
All of these good people are floundering and flailing – caught in a Purgatory of their own design that has them focusing on the too tiny or the too large.
Because The Fish Can’t See The Water
You can’t see it because you’re in it. You identify as it.
You think it is happening to you.
That you have no control.
But “it” is just a script. A story.
It can be changed to suit your needs.
Answering The Question:
“What’s Your Story?”
When Aimed At Yourself:
🔸 What makes you tick?
🔸 Do you know what your story is?
🔸 Can you pinpoint the one thing in which you kick ass above all else?
🔸 What belief(s) have you developed to succeed at that one thing?
🔸 What proof do you have that shows you’re correct?
🔸 What arguments get constantly thrown in your face, even though you’ve succeeded?
🔸 What have you overcome to get this far?
🔸 What are you trying to overcome in pursuit of your goals?
🔸 What has happened that has surprised even you?
🔸 Why do you stick to your guns so devoutly?
🔸 Do you have what it takes to finish this story?
🔸 Would you like some company along the way to your destination?
When Aimed At Others:
🔹 What do you want to say?
🔹 Who do you want to help?
🔹 Who do you want to impact?
🔹 Who needs to see the inside of your head, in whatever format that takes?
🔹 Why do you want to reach them?
🔹 What do you want your life to be like as you do it?
🔹 How will the doing of it satisfy your family’s needs?
🔹 How will you measure whether you’re succeeding or not?
🔹 How will you repurpose all the knowledge and experience you’ve gained up to this point?
🔹 What will your teaching style be?
🔹 How will you market this?
🔹 What will you sell?
🔹 Who can help you?
🔹 How do you get out of your own way to accomplish it all?
I Had To Change My Story To Save My Life
I’m Ken Jensen. I’m an ex-Marine war vet as well as an ex-“whole lot of other things that needed to go”.
Changing my story was the only option I had left, more than once. The resulting changes in my life were profound.
And it turns out that my way of seeing life can be applied to anything, really. But I prefer working within the areas listed above.
And I Want To Hang Out With People Who Resonate With All That
If what I’ve said sets off a little bell inside you somewhere, then you’re gonna want to see more.
